BACKGROUND

Identifying User and Business Need

Imagine you’re a driver whose vehicle suddenly breaks down or becomes damaged beyond repair due to unforeseen circumstances. You rely on your vehicle as your primary source of income, but finding an affordable replacement through hire purchase can be difficult. Many drivers struggle to find platforms that clearly explain financing options or provide accessible pathways to vehicle ownership.

This is the reality for many mobility operators.

Leap Mobility was created to address this gap. Leap Mobility is a tech-enabled asset finance company that empowers underserved mobility operators by providing accessible vehicle financing solutions that help drivers own vehicles and grow their income over time.

For this project, I designed a website experience that clearly communicates Leap’s value, builds trust with drivers, and guides users toward initiating contact and beginning the verification process through simple and intuitive conversion pathways.

CHALLENGE

Key objective

01.

Clearly Communicate Value Proposition

Users needed to quickly understand how Leap helps drivers own vehicles and increase their income.

02.

Present vehicle categories in a way that helps users easily explore available options.

Simplify Vehicle Selection

03.

Build Trust Through Social Proof

Highlight testimonials, partnerships, and success stories to strengthen credibility.

04.

Create clear and intuitive pathways that encourage users to take action and apply.

Guide Users Toward Application

RESEARCH

Understanding the potential users

To understand Leap’s target audience, I focused on drivers and small business operators looking for vehicle ownership or financing opportunities.

Research included:

• Reviewing existing mobility financing platforms

• Understanding driver motivations and challenges

• Identifying information drivers need before applying for financing

Key Findings

Drivers are primarily motivated by opportunities to increase income and achieve financial independence. Many users also want clear financing terms and reassurance that the platform is trustworthy.

Users prefer platforms that:

• Clearly explain ownership and repayment processes

• Provide easy access to vehicle information

• Highlight real driver success stories

• Offer straightforward application guidance

RESEARCH

Learning from competitors to design a clearer, more user-friendly experience

Before diving into design, I evaluated existing solutions to understand what worked, what did not work, and where opportunities existed to improve the user experience.

So, I reviewed mobility financing platforms such as Max Drive and Gigmile to understand how similar services present vehicle financing, driver onboarding, and product offerings.

The analysis focused on:

• How vehicle options are categorized and presented

• How financing and ownership models are explained

• Placement of call-to-action components

• Use of testimonials and trust-building content

• Navigation structure and user journey clarity

While competitors provided detailed product information, there were opportunities to improve storytelling, simplify navigation, and create clearer conversion pathways.

DESIGN WORKSHOP

Design Collaboration & Ideation

I worked closely with stakeholders and the development team to align business goals, product messaging, and technical feasibility. Through design discussions and brainstorming sessions, we:

  • Defined content hierarchy and messaging priorities

  • Explored layout approaches for product and financing information

  • Iterated on visual direction and interaction patterns

  • Refined call-to-action placement to support user conversion

SOLUTION

Visual Design & Final Screens

I designed high-fidelity website screens in Figma, focusing on clarity, storytelling, and strong visual hierarchy.

Key design considerations included:

  • Bold hero messaging to communicate Leap's mission

  • Structured vehicle product sections

  • Trust-building elements such as testimonials and partner logos

  • Clear application pathways and call-to-action components

The final designs were implemented by the development team.

RESULTS

Bring clarity and simplicity to vehicle ownership

01.

Turning Complexity Into Clarity

The final website presents Leap Mobility’s financing solutions in a clear, structured, and approachable way. The design simplifies how users understand vehicle options, financing pathways, and the steps required to begin their ownership journey.

02.

By prioritizing trust-building elements, clear content hierarchy, and intuitive navigation, the website helps guide users toward initiating contact and beginning the verification process.

Building Trust Through Clear Navigation

I especially enjoyed working on this project because it gave me the opportunity to explore mobility asset financing and design solutions that support drivers working toward financial independence.

LESSON & TAKEAWAYS

Real insights that create meaningful user impact

This project reinforced how small, thoughtful design decisions can significantly improve user understanding and confidence.

Clearly explaining vehicle categories, showcasing available brands, and highlighting how drivers can generate income helped make the platform more relatable and transparent for users.

It also emphasized the importance of simplicity. Designing a website that is easy to navigate, visually structured, and focused on user needs plays a key role in building trust and supporting user decision-making.
